Hello everyone,
How many people go to be at night and you are the only one in bed and you feel someone sit on the bed right beisde you ... you turn your head and yet there is nobody there?
This happens on occassion in our home, I feel that it is one of our guardian angels looking in on us and I always welcome their presence.
I tell myself that it is our duaghter (C.J. - Courtney Jane) stopping in to see her Mom and Dad. She was born on February 25, 1982 and she died the same day ... it was and is still one of the toughest things that I have ever had to deal with ... and I will continue to have a tough time dealing with it until my time comes and I am able to see her again. Oh, what a glorious day that will be ;D.
I believe in ghosts, as I have felt her presence on many occassions and I look forward to as many as she would like to give us. She is always in my heart and every once in a while she is right beside me, helping me make it through what ever it is that I am dealing with at the time.
Thank God for Angels ;D ;D ;D
John

Absolutly, John, she's with you all the time. Be alert and aware, you wil; hear things, smell things, feel things that may seem odd at the time, but think and you can place it. Something you enjoyed at around the time of her conception and birth, something you can familarise with what was going on during your wifes preganacy. She will wisper in your ear, Listen! She will sit on the bed, pull your shirt tail. I know because my late husband has been with me since he passed. He will some times play tricks, move things around, make the door chime at work go off for no appearent reason, pull my shirt tail, laugh at me. Open up to it and you can experience her love now. There I go again, being flakey. 'scuse me ;D

i've had 2 guardian angel experiences:
i was probably pre-teen. we had been shopping downtown and were crossing the street - me, mom, my sister - i was looking down at the road and assumed the road was clear or we wouldn't be crossing - they on the other hand were paying attention and intended to stop at the center line until the car coming passed. when i got to the center line in the road i took one step and the next thing i knew i was on the other side of the road facing back toward my mom and sister but looking into the passenger side of a car of screaming horrified people all looking at me like they'd seen a ghost. i didn't see what everyone else saw because i took one step and then was in a different place facing another direction. my mother says i stepped directly in front of the car on the driver's side and then i was on the other side but there was nothing in between - like time stopped and was restarted. a neighbor was down the street about a block and called us when we got home. she said the same thing - no logical explanation for how i got to the other side. they all say there was no way it could have happened. i only took the one step and should have been hit.
another incident was on my way to graduation practice after graduate school. i hit loose gravel and started spinning out of control then started sliding toward a ditch. i knew it was going to flip. just as it was fixing to start flipping i heard a voice tell me to "walk the barrel". it's something we did as kids - you get inside and someone rolls you and you try to stay upright walking on your hands and knees. i did what i was told. when it was over i had one tiny piece of glass in my elbow and was sitting on the roof looking at the seats hanging down. the bronco was totalled.
my ghost experience: my grandfather died when i was 18. when i was 24 i moved into the house my grandfather built for us right after i was born so my dad would come back and farm with him. every night at 10 pm sharp the phone would ring once and the lights would blink. this never happened at any other time day or night - 10 pm sharp every night. i never let it scare me just thought he was saying good night. my cousin lives out there now and she has had similar experiences.

rocky, that is pretty awesome.
twice i have dreamt of friends passing, they came to say good bye in dreams the night before i read their obituaries the next day..... that will give ya goosebumps.
also i was in a similar car accident, i lost it in a curve, heard all the glass break, new i was a goner......my friend was following me and she almost rearended me as i had stopped in the middle of the road...i had suffered no car damage, but when we got back to her house, her mother had been in an accident and all her windows (she drove a school bus) had been shattered in a crash......
there is more, they say, than heaven and earth.

I absolutely believe in ghosts, guardian angels, demons, all of it. My kids had an imaginary friend called "Ghostie" for quite a while, and some of the stuff they told me was kind of creepy - and way beyond their level of imagination at the time. They were little - it started when Teryn was two, Kiara one; and continued until they were about seven and eight.
When they were very little I would sit just outside the bathroom door while they were bathing and listen to them have conversations with Ghostie - real conversations - and sometimes Ghostie would ask them something they wouldn't understand, so they would question it. Of course I only heard one side of the conversation, but it was kind of creepy how they would talk to him. I had to stop them a couple of times because it bothered me.
Our office building is haunted, and there are several people at work who WILL NOT be there alone. It used to be an old bank building and there are bullet holes in the glass front, so I often wonder if anyone was killed in there. It is in the Deep Ellum area of downtown Dallas, which is quite an old part of town. Lots of history.
I've heard things when I have been there alone, but it doesn't bother me - except when the upstairs bathroom door starts opening and closing on it's own...
And yes, KD, I dream in color. ALWAYS.

My kind of forum. I'll look into it. 21, how did you find my post? A Google search? Almost as strange as our stories.

Man, all you guys are creeping me out. I just read this whole thread and now am about to go to bed... its like 11:00. I dont really have a stories to tell, well actually yesterday, my friend and i were going to one of our highschool football games, and right before when we were turning into our school, there was a big glare from the sun. we turned left, so across a lane going the opposite direction. after the turn, a car passed behind us within feet of the bumper, we couldn't see it from the glare. of course they could still see us, so they may have slowed down... but still, i felt like a might have just about died. probabaly not, but it was still weird, like there was someone protecting us.

I see the streak and also the one on the speaker, but like Llana, I can't tell where the pic of John Lennon is. That is very strange though isn't it. Guess little Tribby missed your kitty and wanted to come play and you almost caught him.
I too, had an experience and I totally believe it. I was very close to my grandmother and when she died, I was devastated. Awhile after she had passed away, she came to me one night. I woke up and she was standing at the end of my bed, plain as day and there was a quiet, soothing glow around her. She was wearing her favorite dress too, but it wasn't the one she was buried in. She told me she came to let me know that she was okay and she was happy and I should not cry for her anymore. I started crawling toward the end of the bed and asked her if I could hug her. She told me she couldn't and she had to go but she just wanted me to know she was happy and I should be too.
My daughter and her family bought a new house back in 2000. (Just new to them) After they moved in there, it seemed like they had nothing but bad luck. She had sent in a film from pictures of their first Christmas there and there was one that had this weird shape behind one of her hubby's neices. It was kind of like an orb, but it was different, I had a very bad feeling about it.
Cookie, I'd love it if you could send me a copy of the bigger version of your pic ... maybe I could see the pic of JL too.

That's a wonderful memory, Rosebud. It's a shame more people don't get to have that kind of experience. Not so good for your daughter. Hope they can all live peacefully together. I'll try to send that picture, but I'm not sure how to resize it. I'll play around with it and let you know.

You don't have to resize it, just send it the way it is. It'll take awhile to download but that's ok. Thanks Cookie.

Oh please reside it. If it's big it throws the whole thread out of kilter - at least on my laptop. I don't know what kind of photo program you have, but resizing is ususally pretty easy. Look under edit and you should find a resize then you just tell it what size you want it. llana

I've got Kodak Easyshare. Don't have a clue what I'm doing, but I'll try to resize and post here. I just sent a copy to Cher, but maybe I can get it up on this post.

Okay, now you guys have me all creeped out, and a rat or a squirrel just ran across my roof and scared the crap out of me.
Hey llana, I had almost the same experience as you when I was about 30 yrs old. It didn't last 8 minutes, but I was fully awake and couldn't move or make a sound. There was something or someone in the room with me and I remember being scared out of my wits, but couldn't do anything about it. Someone a couple of years later told me that is what happens when your abducted by aliens. For all I know, maybe that is what happened. I know I don't want go thru that again.
