Ok - got some new pictures of some rocks which have just completed the rounds. First up is some of the rock WilliamC kindly sent over. I cannot remember what its called but its come out great - had to finish it in 3 days Tin Oxide. Next up is some Brazillian agate - from two nodules I had - hard to tumble - took about 10 x 80 rolls to shape out. And finally - and including the orange samples on the left which are also from WilliamC - is the place these shiners sit. I still have plenty of rough left William - but I want to cut it into preshapes with a saw this time, as breaking it up with the hammer left a fair few fractures here and there which I can do without. Im waiting for a bit of sunshine to take some pics outdoors, but its raining as per usual !!! Cheers all. Andy

Cheers all - I'm pleased with this lot myself. Rocky - to answer your points - yup (the ones on the left (I assume you meant left)) I havent taken a picture of close up - I was was waiting for some clear blue sky and good sunlight to experiment a bit. I think youre right about the rocktypes. Yes definately carnelian. With regards to the Tiger Eye, Im having probs with it and cannot decide what to do. I ran it in tin as I said I would have a dabble, but whilst the faces came on exceptionally well - the edges dulled? So its out at the moment and may need 600, then just Tin oxide straight off - but maybe no more than two days - three tops. Got to be careful though as there is a thin piece in there which I want to make a pendant with and i'm worried it will chip finally or even break in two...... Crazy - lol - one of them has even got the camera shape in it - you can just about make out its a silver camera case. Herm - clean living room? You cant see the rest of it!!!! Why do you think I took the pic so close to the fireplace? Been busy on a new project and wouldnt mind some views on it from you guys in the coming weeks. Its taking all my time up and ive been swamped with issues.

Truly an amazing shine on some very lovely rocks. I also am quite taken with that huge honkin' fossil just to the left of your fireplace, that's a real beaut!

Those are beautiful! Great shine and nice living room arrangement, though, I have to admit, my first thought was that this guy obviously doesn't have any doggies or kitty cats!
