If you will be in the area please come visit us this coming weekend for phase 1 of our pre-downsizing downsizing prior to retiring and really downsizing. Our smiling corprolite, winkypoo, and all his friends, a crappy lot if you ask me, invite you to come either or both days between 9am and 5pm. If you WOODbe so kind. We'll have a literal crapload of rock, starting at 50 cents a lb, and a few bargain buckets even cheaper. Also slabs from a quarter apiece, cabochons, and other rock goodies. For the tool guy we'll have a combo grinder in u-finish condition, a plug and play slant cabber, miscellaneous hand tools, and a selection of jewelry making tools (quite a few actually, from a former high school jewelry shop) Also, some household and woodworking tools as well.

Hey Rockoonz what's the retirement plan. I highly reccomended traveling the US in a camper boondocking along!!! I do it 6 months out of the year and hang out at home the other 6 months. At this point it's moving the home base to somewhere warmer, northern AZ or maybe somewhere else. A camper is also in those plans, have family I've never met out your way and it would be good to hang out with them a bit before one of us dies...

Northern Az gets miserable cold. My reccomendation would be Prescott or anywhere that's around the Mogallon Rim. I love Wickenburg but it's hot in the summer. Some places in Az are really windy and dusty.

Some places in Az are really windy and dusty. Prescott, Cottonwood, and the general area are high on the list. Since we would spend most of summer somewhere else warmer locales are possible too.

I lived in Chinle, AZ for several years and loved it. Coming from WI, it was a very mild area. Yes, we did get some snow in Winter, but I was all about 4 seasons. Snow usually melted within a few hours. Coldest temps we saw were in the 30's. If we wanted snow or warm, could easily drive an hour to either, most of the year. I loved Prescott and Flagstaff areas. Chinle is on the Navajo Reservation. Canyon de Chey. Was a Tribal employee at the time and required to live there. I loved the area for the heritage, rocks and Native culture. Close proximity to Gallup NM, Farmington NM, Colorado, etc. We could escape the summer desert in 45 minutes and be surrounded with mountain vegetation, great fishing, grass, etc. Flagstaff had more severe winters. All about what you need and want.

Rockoonz , I have some friends visiting family in your neck of the woods who might be interested in your sale . PM me the address to the sale , I'll forward it to them and see . Their staying with a daughter in Vancouver for a few weeks . Thanks . Sometimes the world is amazingly small. If you haven't already learned from him, Richard is dad to a friend from the church we attend. On a previous trip he brought us out some of his local stuff. It was great having him drop by.
