I had a batch in my UV-10 tumbler, 2 days in to 120/220 and was planning on changing over tonight after work. I noticed this morning that the rocks were barely moving but there was alot of moisture in the barrel. Like a really thick mud. Since I didn't have time to stop, clean rocks, change grit, etc before work and I didn't want to risk the rocks seizing up I opted to do a quick rinse and put them back in the barrel with water to cover and soap. The problem is, I won't be home from work for 10 hours. Am I going to destroy the rocks that are in there by running them with only water and soap for half a day?

I've noticed that the action slows WAY down in my Lot-O when I fill it with water and soap before doing a cleanout. Probably because the extra weight dampens the vibrations considerably. I can't say for sure, but my guess is that your stones won't be damaged.
