Hello everyone, I am patiently waiting for my 600 grit to finish it's cycle (2 more days) and then it's on to the pre-polish Here are a couple of cabs that I have finished and I thought you might like to see what I have been doing during my waiting time ... This is a piece of Graceyard Point Plume Agate that has some gorgeous pyrite inclusions in it. It kind of looks like a decorated tree. What do you see in this piece? It reminds me of a Dragon ... Have I lost it or what? This is a very nice piece of Laguna Agate. It has a very nice parallax effect. Here is a close up of the Laguna Agate. I have a 7X and 10X magnification lense on my HP digital camera and they were both used in conjunction as well as the zoom in this photo. I thought you would really like this one ... was I wrong? Have a great day and I hope you enjoy the photo's, John

Thanks for these nice pics John, You most certainly haven't lost it yet haha.
Dragon ? yes , could be, "Little red ridinghoods WOOLF" is my impression .
I have to go to town now , get my tumbler mototr fixed or buy a new one. This one was second hand, and 1/4 HP may have been too light on those heavy barrels.
Have fun
Jack

Now that it's been mentioned, it does kinda look like The Wolf. And it looks like he's got a full belly and needs a tooth pick. Poor ole grandma! BTW, I asked my husband to take your quartz to the post office before we left on vacation, and of course, he didn't. So it's going out tommorrow. Beautiful work. Love the first one the best cookie

Hello everyone,
I see a Wolf as well, it's funny how things like this are discovered in rocks.
Thanks for all of your comments and kind words.
I am the only person in my area that has an interest in rocks/lapidary, so it is nice to be able to share my creations with you. Thanks again.
Have a great day!
John

It's Puff the Magic Dragon *smile* and he's soooo cute. John those are all absolutely stunning!! Beautiful work you do on those things. I'll be happy if I ever get to half that good. Not that I'll ever be making any cabs but now and then I get a piece that breaks off pretty flat so they'll work nice for pendants and stuff like that. Awesome work I am really impressed. I love the Laguna Agate but I think my fav is the Plume Agate on top. [glow=red,2,300] ~ Cher ~[/glow] pages.prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/signs/RockOn.gif [/img]

Hello Cher, How ironic is this ... when I was cutting this cab, I was listening to PP&M (Peter, Paul and Mary - folk music) for those young folks out there. And guess what came on ... yep ... Puff the Magic Dragon! Wierd Enjoy, John
