here is my latest batch of mixed stuff...... got all done and realized i'd forgotten the quarter...duh, but you guys are used to my paper plates for sizing..haha... i have no idea what this is, but it was pretty, might have been a slab i got from Brett? some more of the Mex lace, i ordered more today from Bryson's Rock Shop in Utah...not easy, his website is still hosed...and his toll free doesn't work either! but he's got some nice rock.... this is some of the zebra jasper i got from Redwoodrocks, hard to cut, shines nice tho! the inner bands are almost metallic.... more mex lace....love that stuff! thanks for looking!!!!!!!!! Oh I love the Mexican Lace! I've been trying to find a source for it. Though...I MUST wait....I want everything at once!
I also love the triangular preshaped pieces in the center. Really pretty! Remind me of neckties *grins* (turn them into tie tacks?) With matching silk ties of course! (new product line!)

yes, bcbunny, i preform quite a few with a trim saw, some are spare odds and ends, can't tumble ALL flats...i also throw in some round "dunnage" quartz to make up the volume and a lot of plastic pellts at the end stages...

Dang, took forever to load but it was definitely worth it. KD how many tumblers do you have going? Doesn't seem like it was that long ago that you posted the last ones. Those are absolutely gorgeous, I so wish I had a saw so I could get nice flat pieces like that. Oh well, one day my dremel will be here, it's all I'll have but maybe I can make some kind of shapes. You are doing an outstanding job on them, I'm very impressed, they are stunning!! [glow=red,2,300] ~ Cher ~[/glow] pages.prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/signs/RockOn.gif [/img]

Well, KD, Yummy as usual. ;D I'm a sucker for any kind of lace agate, Mexican, crazy, whatever. The stuff in the middle, I have some of that too. Think I got it from Sands and I think he said it was red Jasper. Takes a beautiful shine. Love the Zebra jasper, too. Hell, I love it all!

Hello KD, That is one gorgeous batch of stones! My wife just walked in and said "what's wrong with you" as I had slobber running down the front of my shirt. I showed her your photo's ... and she just shook her head and walked out the door ... some people just don't get it Thanks for the photo's ... I need to go change my shirt. Enjoy, John

Hi KD,
Very nice! The ones with the stripes/banding is the Sunset Jasper rather than the Zebra Jasper. Sorry for the mistake. I owe you some money (the sunset is a bit cheaper than the Zebra), I'll make it up on your next order. Or, I can send it in the mail.
Sandsman, didn't you order some of the sunset jasper? Doesn't the picture look like the sunset jasper? Or, did I screw up your order too, and send you something else?
Gees, I am only in my mid-40's and I am already losing my mind! Can I blame it on my kids?

I really can't add much more to what has already been said. Those are all great, KD. You have a good eye for picking nice pieces to work with. They will make some fine jewelry. I can see you put a little more thought into shaping your rough to produce usable pieces. Kudos KD! Nice job!!

thank you everyone for your very ego-boosting comments....
Cal, i must be the one losing my mind, i don't know where i got the idea that it was zebra jasper....we substituted the adventurine for some jasper in the end, and i think i just got it stuck in my head that it was Zebra.....doh! thanks for clearing that up.
Sands, so you have some of the sunset jasper already?
Cher, what i've got is some pretty big pieces, but i can send you some to whack at if you'd like?
thanks again, KD
