Thanks to all for your kind comments! More cabs soon to come.... nchillbilly , both are from purchased rough. The Sonora is available occasionally on eBay, but I try to buy it in Quartzsite so I can verify quality. I was lucky this year and found several nice pieces at the Pow Wow show in January. I think it all comes out of old collections. The Lajitas is an eBay purchase, again from an old collection. The Lajitas area is just west of the entrance to Big Bend National Park and closed to collecting. Many of the Texas collectors used to have access to those hills but I believe the ranchers have closed it. I believe some was collected from roadwork areas when the 170 went in, but now I believe Brewster County takes a dim view of roadside collecting. Sabre52 can probably give a more accurate account than I can. If you ever go to Quartzsite in January, that is the single best source of reasonably priced rough that I know of. Thanks for the info. I'll have to try to get my hands on some of that stuff. You did an outstanding job on all of those. I don't cab, but I can appreciate the effort that went into those. Very nice.
