I heard the term "weekend warrior" on here in another thread and I love it. If I was not so attached to my current business name I would be changing it to Weekend Warrior Rocks. Each and every Saturday I clean out all of my stage one tumblers to inspect the rocks and I am always able to pull out between 2 and 4 pounds that are ready to hit the Lot-o for finishing. My lot-o schedule is also set so that a batch of polished rocks are done every Saturday. I did not post last weekend so here's some pictures of that batch. 1- 2- 3- back 4- front 5- 6- 7- 8- 9- front 10- back 11- 12- 13- 14- 15- Here are this weeks random rocks that were used as filler material 16- 17- 18- 19- 20- 21- 22- 23- These are my family vacation rocks that finished up this week. The pudding stones are all from taking walks on gravel roads at my cottage on Drummond Island. All of the rest were found on Lake superior beaches between Grand Marais and Marquette. 24- 25- 26- 27- 28- 29- Thanks for looking Chuck

Wow, lot's of nice stuff. You definitely get a good return on having enough to finish with all of the coarse barrels you're running. I like the orange rock where you show the front and back. Laker? Thanks for sharing and sending me a reminder that I need to get a couple of those lights to test out.

I like that chert? right after the first pudding stone picture. The last picture with all the red jasper is pretty stunning too. For non-Michigan rocks, I love that orby one in pictures 10 and 11.
Thanks for sharing pictures.

I'm always so impressed with your batches and photos. You set the standard pretty high. What is that bright green one picture 22?

To keep my lot-o fed I run 36 pounds of rough in stage one and do some grinding touch ups on about one pound of rock each week. Chuck

As usual awe inspiring tumbles. Your "filler" material is better than what some consider great tumbling materials. Thanks for posting.

Your attention to detail is second to no one's Chuck. Beautiful stones and fine finishes as always.

That batch was dedicated to my vacation rocks and had some extra room so those non vacation rocks were just filling space. There was still my normal amount of ceramics used. Chuck

Beautiful tumbles.... Love the pudding stones. Honestly......don't see anything that wasn't well done. Fine work indeed.

The 5th from the end is some kind of banded material. I think I found amost a softball sized piece last time I was in MI. Has fractures though. Might throw it in my next box of tumbling material I sell. Looks like it takes a nice polish.

It was beach worn so it did not require much material removal. Chert and flint both take a similar glossy polish. Chuck

It's somewhat rare, but I find some chert similar to that on my favorite Petoskey stone beach. I have one that's been rolling for a couple months now. I need to take it out and grind it one of these days. Here's my favorite from a couple years ago.

Those are very impressive! I hope to get my tumbles up to that level. I'm curious to know how you take such good photo's of your stones. Mine never come out that clear. Do you use special lighting?
