OK, last pic, I'm going to bed. These are the latest flint pendants I made, flint from Llanas front yard. Takes a wonderful polish. I'm running a mixed batch now that has this stuff plus some Flint ridge flint in it that has pink stripes. Very pretty Enjoy cookie

Cookie, Those look great! Where do you get the doodads that you put on the stones? Sorry, I forgot what the doodads are called. And what do you use to attach them?
I just love our local flint! It polishes so well (and so much easier than other stuff).

Thanks all! I get my findings fro Kingsley North, they have a bigger selection of glueable bell caps than any other place I have found. I use 330 epoxy, it's 2 parts, cures to tacky in 5 mins and firm in 3 hours, gives me a chace to move things around a bit if I need to. I also poke holes in a big piece of styraphoam and stick the pendents in it while they cure. Heat makes it go faster. I do plan on drilling more in the future, this is just so fast and easy. But will it hold? Time will tell... Oh, and the square one to the right is actually Pet Wood. Love that stuff, too.

Oh, and no chains thus far. I can't afford to put that much out. I'm sure they would sell better, but I'd have to at least get the chain cost+ to make anything, and it hasn't sold so far. Though the word is getting out and people are asking me about it.

Cookie, you talking about drilling to put those plug like findings in? Don't you have to "glue" them in anyway? Hey, is that flint like the couple of pieces you sent me?

Yes, Cher, the same stuff. There were a couple pieces in the box that I had missed originaly so I just sent them on to you. I'd like to drill holes in the stones to run a chain or jump ring through 'cause part of me just doesn't trust the epoxy. But I don't trust the drill either.... cookie

Cookie, they're great! You need to take a run down to Mexico or have a friend who's taking a run down to Mexico and can get a good price for chains from vendors there.

Cookie, those are beautiful!
I know putting all of them on chains will be expensive. Why don't you buy some cord and use that for some of them?
Also, I have plenty of flint if anybody wants some. Will be glad to go collect some up and send to anybody that wants some - cheap or for a trade for something since we don't have anything but flint here!

I think there should have been a comma in ther, as in "That's what I did Llana, Bear told me..." ;D I bought some leather cord at walmart, but I don't want to just tie the ends, I'd like to by or create a hook/loop kinda thing. Anybody do that?
