My first car was a 1964 Corvair 2 door. My dad bought it for me for $75, it needed work. He paid for the parts, I supplied the labor.
Circa 1980-ish? Car dressed up for a Flag Day Parade with the SD Corvair Club. I got a dash plaque out of it.
Our current truck is also a 2003 Ford, F250 Superduty, 6.8 liter V-10, 4WD with off-road package. Full size (8 foot) bed equals long wheel base and terrible turning radius - definitely not a grocery getter! But it loves the open desert. And it hauls a lot of wood and pulls a bigass heavy trailer. (Not the one in this pic, that's an older one we no longer have.)
Was having issues posting this from my phone this morning. Better late than never. Been so long since I Flickerd, forgot how to do it!
This trailer. 2005 Weekend Warrior with all the trimmings. Just wish it wasn't so heavy...
Right now it has just under 129k on it.

One of my early cars was a 64 Chevy. When I got it the oil was like the oil in one of my saws after a steady diet of thunder eggs. Seemed pretty common back then, the drive it like you hate it mentality, Back then the average wage could buy 3 brand new cars a year, now it's barely possible to get one. I drove old Volvos for many years, had a few 300k plus cars that not only ran like new, but didn't have interior parts flapping in the breeze like my 2000 Ford ranger 4x4 with just over 200k.
