Yup, was just as much fun as the first time around, it's going to kill me waiting
for another batch but all I have going is in 60/90. Anyway, had to share
the fun. Got some totally awesome shine and think I figured out how to take
the pics without everything glaring so you can't see the rocks. (Thanks Dwight)
First thing I have to show you is my heart. Remember my heart, many moons
ago, it's finally done. I'm happy with it even though there's a few flaws in it.
I know my granddaughter will love it. The darker pink areas seemed to be of a
softer material, some of it didn't polish but it still looks nice.
Here's the whole batch.
The rest are some individual shots, most of these are sized between a nickel
and a quarter. I'm just so pleased with this batch!! Love the swirls in this one.
The hematite on the edges just gleems.
Here's an eye agate ... wish it wasn't so small but they eyes are awesome. Tried
a couple of different types of backgrounds with this batch. About dime size, I
wish you guys could see this for real, you can see right into it, deep into it's eyes.
This next one is so cool and I think going to make a really cool pendant. I
don't know what happened with the way it polished but its like really shiney
spiderwebs over a satin background. It looks so neat with the quartzy end.
Here's two more views. The webbing looks silver on right shot but that's just
the shine, it's really black on black except the white quartz.
Here's some small chips that made it through the end. Hopefully I'll be able to
make them into beads. Need to get that drill press unit for the dremel.
Thanks for looking!!
Cher
PS. I took a white plastic grocery bag and put the rocks on a plate inside. The
flash on my camera pops up so it sticks up above the lens. I had the lens inside
the plastic bag with the flash over it so it light things up inside the bag but the
bag kept the glare off.
