Okay got ya. Yeah I mess with that sometimes. Mostly I just use the auto-level feature in the same drop-down. I thought you might be referring to the actual background when you insert into a new layer.
Man I keep coming back to this thread just to stare at the Mook. I think you just increased the sale of Mook for the next month
