Those are all really pretty. Could you share what part of Nevada that you might have sourced the Pink looking ones from?
Thank you for sharing with us!

Nice tumbling.
Please allow a respectful bit of photography help.
Place the camera and light on the same side of the stones. With the light behind the faces the camera is looking at are in shade and dark.
Placing the light just above and to the right generally makes a pleasing look. You can also you white cardboard to reflect some of the tight back onto the stones making even better lighting.

Thanks Bob. That might be a clue that I can use though.
If you come across information, could you PM me? I am bad about returning to threads (like this one) to check some times.

NevadaBill here is the Response I got from Lori Millard .from Feather River....... And as they say there ya go, and there ya have it! It comes from the area around Fallon. Many, many years ago one of our members knew the owner of the mine. He has a business in Marysville, CA. All I remember is his first name is Randy. I personally have never been to the mine. Lori

Hi Bob. Got your PM just now. How interesting. I would have never guessed or known this had you not followed up on it.
We have a member at RTH with whom I recently corresponded with, who also sources his rocks (self found) from Fallon. I am going to dig up that thread and PM him with your picture of the Pink material.
Maybe he will know something too.
Thank you!

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX400V works pretty good just needs some tweaking I Guess.

I don't have any experience finding pink or pinkish jaspers. I've found a few small pieces I would characterize more as agate with pink in them in the Ramsey area (south and east of Fernley, about 30 miles from here.) There is also common opal with pink in it about 45 miles east of here. I'm not at all experienced in rock identification, and stuff around here can be amazingly varied, even within a single deposit. But some of those in the video are reminiscent of stuff I have seen identified as coming from the Dead Camel Mountains near here. I haven't explored that area yet as it requires 4x4 to access. (But my truck arrives today, woohoo!) Definitely on my list to explore! I've been told by several sources that there are lots of claims in that area so it will be interesting to see what is accessible.

I have been up there a couple of times on my trips to Reno. I have family throughout Nevada including Fallon. Where I first went with the club is not claimed and in mainly baskenite with some jasper. The road is not too bad going in but going up the mountain the road is pretty nasty with lots of large loose rock.
I will probably head back up that way in May or June and our club is going back that way in October so I may join them on that one.

I see that camera has manual exposure control. You can make a light box work.
