I don't know what this is called exactly, but it's one I found a couple of days ago. The picture doesn't do it justice, the stone is more white/clear than it shows-not yellowish- and the color is more reddish-orange than orangish-red. Either way, I'm thinking I may just grind down the back of it to make it flat, then try wrapping it. We'll see.

Yeah he has it. Agree that wrapping it (or prong setting, if that's in your wheelhouse) would show it off best.

Looks like botryoidal Chalcedony to me. This. Sometimes these look good if you leave one side natural and do the back side like a cab.
