R2D nailed it. It's Noreena, from a batch of rough I recently got from Rockoonz. I'd never have believed these patterns were Noreena if I hadn't slabbed it myself. You just can't outguess Mother Nature!

Looks like a damn good shine for Noreena, or is that just my imagination? : ) It took a pretty good polish at 8K but I think I can do better. I have to recut one of the cabs anyhow because the shape's wonky and while I'm at it I'll try some oxide polishes to see if they're better.

Wow, that is a weirdo! I was reduced to only going by the colors and the hint that it was from Oz. Odd piece for sure, and love what you've done with it. Would it be too much to hope that there is more out there like that? Probably not
