Is that with the dial set to the maximum speed? The variable speed is intriguing to me. You could in theory reduce the speed for softer stones to give it a more gentle ride. No idea how it works in practice though. I tried researching this machine and there is only like a couple of Youtube videos and practically no in depth reviews. It's very weird. If I could have found more info on it, I might would have gotten one rather than wait on a new Lot-O motor. I found several posts on this forum about it, but no one ever mentions the variable speed, which leads me to believe it probably doesn't work as well in the real world as you'd hope.

May I chime in and ask - Is there a vibe that doesn't have to be checked on several times a day? That would be a great advantage to me because then I could have it running while I'm at work.

I would run my Lot-O while I was at work. I always started a batch in 120/220 on the weekend when I was home, because that stage really does need to be checked every few hours. But the pre-polish and polish stages generally only have to be checked once several hours after starting it and then it's pretty much fine. So I'd do 120/220 over the weekend. Start the 500 AO stage Sunday evening and check it before bed. I'd check it before work, when I get home from work, and right before bed but it rarely needed any water. On Tuesday or Wednesday evening, I'd rinse it all out and start the polish stage and it'd be the same as pre-polish. I'd rinse it all out Friday evening or Saturday morning and then start the next batch if I had one ready to go.
