Not if, WHEN! You know I'll do it, especially just so I can flaunt them. Don't want to hear no cryin'. LOL, oh yeah. Good thing you can't hear crying on the forum....lol.

Diane's Mystery Box.
Okay, you asked for it!
Diane, this is the actual tracking number, not the one you PM'ed me. Was kind of a surprise when it showed up late Monday, since the tracking info said it was still waiting to be updated.
Thought the package was still cooling its heels in AZ! (No worries, I got it inside before mrrockpicker came home, lol. Shhhh!)
All of them, dry.
All of them, wet. Top left, the Royston turquoise; moving right - Fourth of July Butte, then a Woodward Ranch (unmarked), and a marked one of same below it. Below that, Plasma Agate. There's another smaller piece in the mix as well. There's at least one piece of Lavic, a mahogany obsidian, and a black/red obsidian. There's a chunk of Montana agate, a piece of Gary Green, and Owyhee Picture jasper. Some colorful rhyolite, breccia, onyx, and many more I don't know.
A few of my favs. Not sure what it is, but I love the one on the left!
More favs. Not sure on these, but the one on the upper left has metallic bits.
Left and right are the two from Woodward Ranch, TX. Center is the larger of the two Plasma Agate.
And last but not least, the Turquoise.
So, see what you all missed?? Next time Diane offers rock boxes for sale, take her up on them. You won't be sorry. When you figure an SFRB costs $8 to send, she only made $17 on this box. (She's not gonna get rich this way, lol.) She always has great prices and variety. I think I got a sweet deal.
Sorry my pics are less than adequate. I had taken them yesterday with my wannabe cell phone, then could not locate them when I looked for them on my real camera so I could upload them. Doh! I thought I had somehow lost them. Glad I found them (such as they are) before taking them all over again.
Well thank you, Diane, now I've got that rock buying bug out of my system, lol. Don't know when I'll get to them, has been too hot recently to do any rock work. Then there's the new roof on the house that just got completed, medical issues with Bob., etc., etc. Won't bore you with all that.
But because I know how you all are (pictures or it didn't happen!), here's a few pics of the new roof. Entire job completed in less than 2 1/2 days>
BTW, that's the famous avocado tree in the left rear.
Thanks for looking. Jean

Jean, glad you liked the box and it was a bonus it arrived before mrrockpicker got home ;-). I don't know what happened with the tracking numbers. Maybe I got yours mixed up with the other box I mailed out the same day. Glad it got there. Thanks for showing off the pictures. I know I didn't mark all of them but in my defense I was out in the garage and it was over 100 degrees and the AC isn't working in the garage anymore. I'm lucky they didn't melt while I was packing up the box. I definitely won't get rich off these boxes but every little bit helps put a little gas in the truck so I can go out and get more rocks...;-)
To help you with the id. The green one on the left that you like is serpentine from Eastern Arizona. The brecciated one next to that serpentine is Burro Creek Chapinite (I used to just think it was brecciated Pastelite but was told otherwise by a collector who's been collecting there for a long time.). The colorful rhyolite is Fallon Wonderstone Rhyolite. The one with the metallic in it is Montana Rhodonite (not cheap stuff but I bought some and had a slab that broke so I thought heck, why not...lol. The green one next to the metallic one is chrysocolla in quartz from around Queen Valley, AZ south of Phoenix. Bottom left in that picture is Burro Creek Pastelite and I can't really tell what the other one is from the picture but if it's light purple then it's massive Amethyst from around Aguila or if it is more pink swirly then it's the weird agate I found out at Fourth of July Butte.
Nice roof, hope it lasts many years to come.
Have fun with the rocks when you get to them.

You didn't send me someone else's tracking number, as it was just one digit was off (a 9 instead of a zero for the eighth number). Either a typo, or you can't read your own writing, lol.
Yes, glad it came on Monday before he got home. I would've had some 'splaining to do. Oh, Lucy!
Thanks for the IDs on some of them. I'll try to get them marked, but I'm not a fanatic on it. Love that Montana Rhodonite, thanks for parting with it.
Thanks for the roof comment, I DO like the job they did. We still have to clean up all the little gravel/rocks that came off the old shingles, nails, and other debris. Had to come into the house for a minute when they were doing the tear off, and it sounded like it was raining dirt in the attic. Out of sight, out of mind. I'm not going to worry about it. The garage is another matter...
Should last a good long time, they installed Owens Corning Oakridge Class A shingles, style is Duration Cool Roof, color is Mojave. Between the shingles and the new Ohagin roof vents, I think the house is staying cooler than before. The shingles are covered by limited 50 year manufacturer's material warranty. The shingles are going to outlast me!

[/quote] I wanted it out of my way anyways so I sent it, that and I didn't want to forget to send it. Getting old sometimes catches up with me...lol. Yes, I'm sure you would have some 'splainin to do, Lucy! I'm sure you would have been able to 'splain your way out of trouble. You're very welcome for the Rhodonite. You were lucky the big slab broke otherwise I wouldn't have had a small piece to send you. It is some pretty stuff cabbed up. No, I don't have any pictures of it cabbed but hope to some day..lol. The roof does look nice and I'm glad you got a 50 year guarantee on it too. I would wonder what the attic looks like after all that hammering and ripping of old shingles and such. Those nails are nothing nice to try to clean up but it's definitely better cleaning up than getting one in a tire later.
