Quite an interesting read, thanks for putting it up. I don't think the Impossible product is in this area, but will have a look, and a sample if I find it.

Is this about beef? I scrolled through quickly but didn't catch anything.

When you get cancer they say eat less processed foods. Eat fresh, unprocessed, no additives, no preservatives...this is anything but unprocessed.

My main objection to the new veg burgers (both Beyond and Impossible) is that they taste just like beef, and I hate the taste and greasy feel of beef burgers. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't care for red meat, so these new versions aren't aimed at me. I only hope they don't crowd out some of the older veggie burgers (particularly the black bean ones).
If you don't want heavily processed, then according to the labels the Beyond Burger has less of that. Gotta remember that most restaurant beef also gets lots of antibiotics, hormones, contaminants, etc., so if you are eating out, I don't think that the new veg burgers would be less healthy.

So, chemical components to hemoglobin are produced in vats by genetically engineered yeast and is used to mimic the flavor of meat and added as a flavoring component to whatever the heck else is in this stuff. hard pass. There's enough BS in the food chain already. If I can't have the ground cow, I'll take the bean mash or mushroom options instead, at least that's actually food.

No thanks on the fake meat products, will stick to my good old fashioned hamburger if you don't mind. Off the bone, into the fire and down the hatch, thank you very much ! Everyone will have to try a taste test, but, a Buck a Burger more ? I am not quite THAT curious !

Cheerios have been tasting shitty But part of the problem was me And I’m a little ashamed of it ! I don’t have many teeth left Can’t afford dentures Which I sort of happy about Nonetheless I wasn’t doing proper oral care Like brushing or rinsing So I started a regimen Of proper oral care And things are tasting much better I recall my Mom telling me that nothing tasted right In her latter days I couldn’t figure it out Now I think it was proper oral care A cautionary tale Cheerios still taste stale But At least they are gluten free Trade off and I guess this as nothing to do with this thread but o well brush your teeth whether you have them or not m hs

Colonel Sanders is flipping in his grave. Personally, I want my meat to squirm when it hits the grill.

I think pink slime was more a shimmy than a squirm.

New ad for Beyond Meat: Sooner or later, we’re gonna beat your meat . . . you might as well relax and enjoy it.

Fake news. Fake beef. What's next that tries to get sold to the public? I wouldn't invest in the company.
