Congrats on finishing your book! I ordered one yesterday, even though I've already done quite a few pieces. Always looking for new ideas!
I just read a short article on intarsia in the April 1955 "Gems and Minerals" magazine. Techniques and tools used in this art form have changed a lot since then.

mossyrockhound It is fun and educational finding and reading the old published articles. The are also some interesting YouTube videos, mostly from other countries. I find it fascinating to view the videos on Italian Pietra Dure and see the old tools used to create those breathtaking masterpieces.

Bump! I was lucky enough to learn my Intarsia skills from Bill first hand. I’ve really missed my time at William Holland and my friends. Hopefully 2021 will be brighter and open back up the possibilities of fellowship again. Miss you Bill!

I got one too. Great to add another skill for use in my retirement years.
