Hey everyone ;D,
Well this is a bit toughter than I thought it was going to be. Well ... okay ... I knew it was going to be tough ;D
This edible substance is not made of chocolate, or caramel, or cotton candy, or nuts, ... it is hard though. I used to eat three or four at a time and combine the flavors ... oh, did I say that there were multiple flavors ... well, there is another clue!
And before you say ... Life Savers ... that is incorrect as well.
How far back ... think before the 1900's ... actually the business started in 1846 ... and they are still making them today.
One more clue ... the last word in the correct answer ends in a "s" ... making it plural (more than one) ... oops that was four clues ;D
You'll love the answer ... you have tumbled all around the correct words for a while ... oops ... that is five clues ;D
See if this helps any ... if not ... Mark has a good clue!
Enjoy,
John

Two more guesses:
TUMBLED BUNCH OF JELLY BEANS
or
WONDERFUL BATCH OF RAINBOW LOLLIPOPS
I'm just at a loss. Can't figure out what the name could be, and I'm normally pretty good at this sort of thing.

Tumbled Flavors of Jelly Beans
Tumbled Swirls of Jaw Breakers
Tumbled Masses of Jelly Beans
Tumbled Mix of Stark Wafers
Tumbled Chews of Necco Wafers
Still can't connect the chocolatey vanilla colors in the rock to not having anything to do with chocolate.

Searched the internet and the first successful grafting of the pecan tree took place in 1846 so it must be big slice of pecan pie
