Ok, here's the re-wrap. I am super pleased with the way this turned out- it may not be 100% perfect, but I like it WAY better than before. Even the bail!

Agreed! Way better.

The only thing I would do is bend that one wire over the corner to match the opposite one. Symmetry is really important in wire wrapping. It's harder than doing bails.

Definitely a keeper, that one!

I was going to then decided against it.
And now that I'm taking a fresh look at it I just might.
Hopefully I don't mess it up, it still makes me a little nervous . 😟

Actually, leave it. Now that you've done the bail, it will squish and pull on the other wires. Next one.

ETA: Always do the bail last because the wires move when you're pulling on them to secure the stone.
