Cab That Slab #7Mark what you think will create the best cabochon!
This is one of the slabs that I recently posted in Rock Identification Help. A couple of replies suggested that it's plasma agate. This slab is about 7.0 x 5.5 inches (17.8 x 13.9 cm). In addition to the larger photos I've included a smaller vug map (red marks). The winner of the poll will have the option to start the next contest. Optionally, I'll also throw a few things into a SFRB for the winner. Contest Number 7 ends at 6:00 pm (1800) Pacific Time on Sunday, December 8.

Here it goes... I used the rulers in my program. If I did it right the cab should be abt 1.5" wide and 2" long. Doesn't look it, but it's a decent size cab. I can't blow it up without it looking crappy.

Ok, here's my entry. Not a very well-drawn circle, but you get the idea.

Huh, now I can't see them again. Oh well, at least I got to see them once. Don't know why.

Kinda blurry, but best I could do. Excuse the crooked lines. Was supposed to be symmetrical.

What stood out to me, wasn't sure how to rotate in order to get the void up and down

looks like great minds think alike. I used the hole in the slab too. I bought a laptop a few weeks ago and used the paint3D to mark the cab. Took me forever. Last reg computer I used was XP...
