Ralph likes to play rough! He has drawn blood from me on more than one occasion. When we took them to the vet to go to Los Angeles, I told the vet, No anal probe! No anal probe. Well, the vet knew better than me! Four veterinary assistants were taken to the clinic, the vet got tore up, and Ralph bit me through my hand. I got him quieted down and he felt bad, but, satisfied. We used to have a sliding door in Punta Gorda and Ralph used to like to watch the birds, snakes, other critters. Jenne would go out the door and leave it open. Ralph would summon his courage and try to slip out. No no Ralph, bad kitty. It became a game. It became time to get him fixed. A bengal in the throes of premating is not a pretty sight. I took him out the glass door in my arms and he thought he was king of the hill. He was so proud, so strong, six months old and getting ready to conquer the world. He went out the back door, around the house, in my arms, looking at all to see, into the car, TO THE VETS! We came back two hours later and the receptionist asked what animal we came for. We told her Ralph. She opened her eyes and said RALPH! The assistant brought Ralph, still under the influence to me. He jumped into my arms and wrapped his paws around my neck and cried. He never went near the glass door again. Muffy would go near the glass door and he would push her away from it. You could almost visualize the conversation, Muffy, do not go there, there are Aliens! It is a trap! They cut my balls off! Run, save your self! He got over it, but to this day he can smell a vet even when they are out of the office, and just socializing. At the old market, when a vet on vacation would come near the shop, he would puff up and go ballistic! One vet said, they think they have been abducted and probed. It never goes away. He was about 40lbs then and he would look like the most dangerous animal ever seen. If he was on my lap it was ok, but if Jenne was there and he was by himself, the wild came back with a vengance.
