That’s the joy and pleasure that rockhounding does,is all about, that’s sharing of knowledge to improve another hounders experience in this hobby. With out that sharing of the knowledge all is lost and forgotten and would become a lost life experience and a long lost art. ROCK ON FOREVER!!!!!😀

Little guy, big tractor. Saw AJ yesterday. He had to show me the new tractor his daddy bought. It will be used for plowing the driveway. For the first 1.5 hours I was there AJ kept unlatching the baby gate next to door and trying to open the door. Eventually my daughter bundled him up and we went outside. AJ immediately opened the garage access door and went to the tractor. He even said a new word. Tack-tor. Gotta admit, he wore me out.

Did anyone notice the position of AJ's left hand in the second photo? I showed him the Spock sign for live long and prosper. He does it often. I also show it to him every time I am there. To him, it is just another sign language thing he can do with others. He now can say about 25 words, either verbally or via sign language. He understands about 40 spoken words and at least 25 sign language words. He signed something yesterday my daughter did not notice. I let her know what he said. His diaper needed to be changed and he signed change. Then turned around and stuck out his butt. I loved it.
My daughter and I discussed many of her concerns that he might be on the Autism Spectrum. She asked me to observe certain things before I arrived. I saw nothing to be concerned about.
AJ still has some vision and digestive issues, but is overall a very happy child. A typical 2-2.5 year old, even though he is 16 months old.

Took photos of some fungi before I mohed the lawn today. Two different types. The red one is called a Starfish Fungi. Don't know what the yellow ones are. They came up where an old hardwood stump is buried. Possibly Jack O'Lantern Mushrooms.

The red one is pretty wild looking I have a wild edible mushroom book I’ll take a look for and see if I can let you know if there’s any like it Beware though there are a ton of like a like mushrooms

It’s not looking good the book I have is Edible and medicinal mushrooms of New England and eastern Canada I not sure but I think your in the Carolinas I found the jack o lantern Known as the chanterelle look-alike the jack o lantern is poisonous These ones on the ground look the same as yours Don’t know if you can read the right side or not Normally below oak and other hardwood trees Sometimes they are found in a lawn where there is buried wood. Chanterelles do not grow this way

That red one is scary looking- like something from the Upside Down in Stranger Things. Ick.

Amazing breakfast. Pumpkin pancakes topped with oatmeal, pumpkin seeds, apricot/apple puree, pecans and almonds. There was a side of date puree in local maple syrup to go along in addition to the grapes.
