Just curious what you got Tommy 😎 That's a bit shinier than my 1976 Wheel Horse 😁 Ohhh yeah I was just being dense We should start a show us your tractor thread. I searched it and it looks like those horses were built to last forever! I'm not so certain about the Deere but I guess we'll see.

A visitor on the deck this morning
Polyphemus Moth : Antheraea Polyphemus About 4" across, kind of small for them, so I think he must be a male We saw one last year double his size, which I guess was a female.

Interesting moth photo. I like butterflies, but moths give me the willy creeps. Don’t know why.

When I was camping in my favorite spot in the mountains, we saw a HUGE moth on the shower wall. It was a beautiful green. I wish I had taken a picture. It was the biggest moth I had ever seen. Of course, the thought of him crawling on me gave me the heeby jeebies.

Was she like this Luna Moth (Actias luna) ?
We sometimes see these moths too on our deck in the mornings.
I think Tela, that you and Pat must have been scared by those Mothra movies, as little kids Patty

I worked graveyard as a machinist/millwright at a sawmill for several years. One night when it was warm and the big doors were open I was consentrating on a job on the lathe, something bumped me on the shoulder, nearly jumped over the machine. There was a really big moth flying around with a sparrow about the same size in hot pursuit, the moth bumped me. I watched for a while but the two went out a door, don't know who won. The moth was easily the largest I have ever seen here in Oregon.

Kind of nice company. One time a big colorful beatle bumped into the forehead of the man next to me. Glad it didn’t land on me! Friend saved the beatle from me, and I closed the doors!

I want to introduce you all to Daisy, a 12 week old cocker spaniel who we bought and picked up today while we were traveling to the SC coast. The toddler's first two weeks with us will be her first camping trip. It's been rough on us since our Maggie passed away this past valentines day from an illness she had been battling since the middle of last year. Daisy inherits all of Maggie's toys and her human companions. jasoninsd

She looks like a sweetie, and good thing you're training her for camping from the start! I'm indeed sorry about Maggie, fur babies are wonderful to have & hard to lose.
