Oops. Guess the fish won that battle. Terrible fisherman on that day ! They were certainly slamming the bait Beth. Must have been a full moon, angry fish.

Nuttin' better n fishin on a nice day. Thanks! Armchair fishing at it's best Tela ! I teach kids and newbies how to fish with a plastic worm in that pond since the fish bite so much.

Sure it wasn’t a pickerel or pike? Love top water fishing. It’s such a thrill.

I wish. Just bass RocksInNJ. Many are 6 to 8 pounds in that pond because it never gets fished and the bamboo. Back then the fish were well fed by the tree frogs that took refuge in the 40 foot tall bamboo leaning over it. You want to grow large fish ? Plant tall bamboo around it. 1000's of tree frogs will be attracted and unfortunately they are notorious for falling out of the bamboo. You could hear the frogs hit the water from our work station close by, seconds later a big splash as it got swallowed lol. Cold world eh

Early morning on the lake as the sun is rising with a great top water lure tossed through the lily pads and then boom all hell breaks loose. It’s goes from calm and peaceful to a total rush, as you reel that bad boy in.

RocksInNJ "The Tree Frog Symphonic Orchestra" on a hot Georgia summer night Yea those tree frogs are a pain when trying to sleep at night. Fortunately ours aren’t as many or nearly as loud as that though. I’d go nuts!!!

Swamp Music is on my top ten list of recordings. One of the more unkown LS items. I love many of the LS recordings.
When are you going to post a video of bringing in a huge fish from a small pond?
