Oops! I just saw your picture so maybe I'm being repetitive. The stuff in the picture looks like it would be good and again, it can't hurt anything to toss these small stones in with a load of something else in coarse grind.

Pup, I actually have thrown in 3 or 4 small emeralds for repair and 1 ruby into a barrel of mexican lace (nothing wrong with the ruby... just a nice ruby that deserves to be tumbled). they are in coarse right now, doing very well.

I'll try throwing in a few garnets when I start a new batch. certainly wouldn't hurt.
