Hi everyone, On our trip to New Mexico, I stopped into just about every jewelry store that we could possibly stop into and did the usual introduction and such ... This cab was one of the most talked about cabs that I took with me (some 60 in all). I thought I would post some photo's of this piece of Condor Agate and see how you like my "Kansas Tordado". This is a piece of Condor Agate and it certainly looks like a tornado to me I like rocks that me you go ... Ooooo ;D This next piece is a cab of Woodward Ranch Plume Agate. Extremely gorgeous material. Well, what do you think? I know ... the bats, the bats ... they are coming. Enjoy, John

Both just georgeous John. Where do you find stones with such clarity? There are both like glass with an image pressed between them. Very cool, John

Oooooooooo yeah! My hubby really likes that tornado but I like the Woodward Ranch Plume Agate ... wanna see it bigger. That is absolutely stunning and I'm sure if you look close you'll see my name on it somewhere ... *smile*. Just kidding John, you going to put them on ebay or are they sold already? How did you do with your trips to the jewelry stores, do you think you made any good connections? I hope so, wishing you lots of good luck and lots of work from the visits.

Extremely awesome. Of course, I'm partial to Condor Agates. Now I've got a brain hiccup and can't stop singing "We're off to see the Wizard. The wonderful Wizard of Oz." By chance did you go and visit the Woodward Ranch while out there? There are some rocks there that you won't find anywhere else.

KD - I didn't pick up any immediate work/customers ...but I was able to pass out a couple of hundred business cards ... so time will tell. Banjo - Some materials offer some great clarity ... and like always ... you have to search for the good stuff! Cher - I am planning on keeping these cabs as demo cabs. Demo cabs are the cabs that I show to the jewelers, on our travels. I made a lot of contacts - and only time will tell as to how much work, if any, I will see. I did have an interesting conversation with a Native American Indian who does some spectacular silver work. I asked him who done his stones and he replied "I do all of my work ... and the way you can tell is if there are lumps and scratches all over the stone ... it is done by hand. And if it is really nice and smooth ... it has been done by a machine". I didn't have the heart to offer my services to this individual ... as it looked like he ground the stones with a course grinder and then tried to polish them. From 80 grit to polish in two steps ... It must be working for him ... I didn't see him sell anything ... but there again neither did I. Enjoy, John

I absolutely love them both. My favorite cab keeps changing everytime I check the picture section. I've just got to get the proper equipment and start making cabs. Trish

John, Those stones must have opened many doors for you...The tornado is aptly named; that is a wonderful piece...I like the plume even more. you must have cut many slabs to get to those perfect cabs. I'm amazed, csroc

Just checked Ebay and I see that you're selling that beautiful Kansas Tornado! If I was flush with money, I would bid too. Love that piece! Looks like you have a bunch of beautiful cabs on right now. Hope you sell them all, but I'll bet it will be a long time before you find another tornado in stone. Trish
