Ok, guys and girls, next up- a slab from roy . It is a Sonoran Denritic Rhyolite and it is 4.5 x 4.25". This is the slab that the winner will receive. Please mark out the cab of your choice. PLEASE DO NOT change the size of the image. Please indicate the direction the cab should orient. Keep in mind the scale of the slab when marking out your cab. For the sake of the contest, we will assume there are no fractures, etc.
The contest will end on March 12 at 9 pm EST. That's 3 weeks, but keep in mind the best spots go first. Have fun! Can't wait to see your cabs. Since I am co-hosting this with Roy, I will not be playing.

hard to beat that shield above - that's probably exactly what I would designate the #1 spot on this slab if it were mine. I do love Owyhee "flowers" so I'm going with this... I'll post a better isolated picture later - it's almost 1 am and I just got off work and need to get my butt to bed.

Huh?? Now I can see it. I'm sure I'll lose it again, though, so I downloaded it.

Do you have software for cab “windows”? That’s great.

Great cab, Don. Can you post a picture of where it is on the slab? I need it for relative size.

I use Photoshop Elements. It makes it easy to do ovals or rectangular shapes, as well as making an area transparent. In this case I used my screen grabber to capture the pear shape from an online graphic of a template of pear shapes. I copied it, edited to make it transparent on a white field, and then copied it to a "layer" overlying the slab image. So the slab was visible through the transparent pear shape.

I am guessing that part of the slab was cut off in the photo. Just cannot tell how much. Hoping there is enough for this cab. If not, I will try another area. 2-22-20 Edit to reflect a different possibility. It should be a symmetrical pentagon, but the left side is a little off. This is what happens when I am away from computer for over 13 hours, lol. All the prime cabs are taken.

Thank you.
