HankRocks catmandeweThat agate is a half nodule, probably 2" thick. I wondered about weight but just ran it as is.

HankRocks catmandeweAlright gentleman, new development. I have 2 agates in prepolish. They sure didn't seem to be moving like I wanted so just for grins I taped another rock to the top of each. Much better movement so when I shut it down tonight I'll see what the extra rock weighs. Then tomorrow after work I'll find some lead weights and some silly putty. Thank you!

Also some plumbers putty will work but some is too dry. But you get the idea. I havent seen silly putty for a while, not sure if you can still get it.

You can find it online Silly Putty, (although kinda pricey shipping, unless you spend $250), also found an ad that Target sells it.
www.target.com/p/silly-putty-variety-pack-5ct/-/A-52596575 $4.99
Buy online and get it shipped, or pick up in store.

Ok quick update...
The dollar tree knock off silly putty worked but acted like it was melting, even though it's about 40° in my garage. I think maybe I should've wore gloves handling it 😂
Got real silly putty but it doesn't seem to want to stick. I think the fake stuff left a film on the rocks 😖
