Finally got my hands on some cabs by @hookedonrocks Paul. I must confess, some of his shapes are a bit challenging to wrap, but I think I did ok. The patina on the heart is perfect for the stone. It looks much better in person. More to come...

Those are all gorgeous! Hard to pick a favorite, but the second one and the heart are perfection.

I love the wrapping on #1! It outclasses the cab and that’s saying a lot.

I don't come in here often, but the title made me look.
Your wraps are super nice, as always, but -
have you considered a different background?
The stark white is hard on my eyes and makes seeing the wire detail difficult.

The stark white is hard on my eyes and makes seeing the wire detail difficult. I have a light tent and no other way of getting decent pics. The white works best for the stones. Other colors make the stones look different, but I hear ya. I have played with gray and like it a lot. It tends to over saturate colors, though.

I get all my bails from Rio Grande. Yeah some rings face forward and some face sideways. They are all different prices.
eta meant to add- some are open ring and some are closed. I'm guessing you want open rings.

yep its confusing real quick Tela
the ones I like have a split in the ring bend it open hook it into the eye and then bend close
and yes 2 orientations I can insert the eye-pin into the heart in either directions depending on what orientation bail I choose...

Love them all Tela! You did great on the wraps, especially the heart. I've tried to wrap a heart a couple of times and challenging is a bit of an understatement- at least for me, anyway...

I agree with the white background. It might be the color settings on my laptop, but the silver wires blend in with the white. Not enough contrast.
I am guessing where some of the wires were placed.
Love the orientation of the heart.
Also love that the talents of you and Paul were combined.
If the both of you would end up together for a cabbing/wrapping tam competition, it would be a tough combo to challenge.

Those are beautiful. Elegant and simple with just enough embellishment. I really like the first one best, I don't know why. I think it is great how the wires at the top seem to mirror the design in the cab.

It may be time to unveil some more of your rockjunquie superb wraps of Paul’s @hookedonrocks cabs. A great combination in my opinion. Thanks to Tela and Paul.
