Update- Today is the 4th. You should have your cabs in the mail by today. miket contacted me and I am allowing him to mail tomorrow. I have pictures from roy, nik, @hookedonrocks and stonemon. I need pix from the rest of you also. Please send them to me and don't post on the board. If anyone needs more time or has any other problems, let me know. The time line is not really written in stone so much. This is supposed to be fun.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, folks- Definitely more of you wanted to silversmith so let's get this going. This is what I have- if I have left anyone out let me know ASAP. I'm going to ask aDave to draw names for the teams. Looks like we will have 6. They are in the order that they volunteered. (I hope.)
Cabbers
TO REITERATE:
The contest will consist of teams of cabbers and silversmiths. In every round, people who have expressed an interest in playing will have their names drawn from a hat.
After the names are drawn, you will know who your partner is. Teams are encouraged to work together to come up with the best possible piece. Wow us and win!

For the first month, you may use any material for the cab, as long as it is natural, and any metal for the piece with no gem embellishments. (Just to keep it simple for the first round.)
The cabber will have 14 consecutive days (2 full weeks) to cut a cab (material may or may not be dictated- not sure, yet.) The cab will be sent by the cabber to the silversmith teammate. The cabber will send a quality photo to me- DO NOT POST THE PICTURE!
The silversmith will then have same amount of time to finish a piece. The silversmith will send a photo of the finished piece to me and then hold onto the piece. DO NOT POST THE PICTURE!
After the finished pictures are sent in, a poll will be listed of the anonymous pieces. After the poll is closed, the creators will be revealed. The poll will consist of each team's images. 2- one of the cab, one of the piece.
Winning team can choose a t shirt or mug from the RTH shop (for the first contest).
The finished pieces will be given to a cabber or a silversmith in alternate months. However, everyone is free to work out a different arrangement if they so choose. This should be done between you two via PM. For the first contest the cabber will keep the piece (unless worked out otherwise).
All postage to be picked up by whoever is doing the mailing.
I will not be playing or drawing the names for the first round. Tommy , roy or aDave will likely be sharing the duties in the future.
Please ask your questions or need for clarification now. I haven't done this before, so your input may be helpful.

I will post the team names here as soon as I can track Dave down for the drawing.
