The polish on the rabbit is not up to your usual standards and the shape is chubbier.

I think that rabbit cab is amazing. Love the texture you achieved. It looks like a real rabbit. Well done.

Probably the cutest bunny I've seen in a long time. I want him in my yard. I have a lot of bunnies, but they don't look as cute as yours.
Oh yeah, and your cabs are marvelous as always.

LOL I saw that heart on FB a few days ago I wasn't surprised it was yours when I looked! We have rabbits here too, one of the babies ate ALL 5 of my rose bushes! They've never done that before lol.

Coffee table book quality, Paul, and my favorite is the wabbit heart!
I noticed that your lighting for the noreena is not directly on the cab itself. The heart and its photo are outstanding. Would you generally recommend indirect lighting for shooting noreena, or is the lighting just what happened to work best for this particular cab?

Hmmm...good point. The indirect lighting also avoided the reflection of the light bulb. It’s also an attractive angle instead of straight on. Can also avoid reflecting the light source by stretching fabric across the bulb housing.

Nice cabs. Need a bar-b-que sauce slurry on the last one.

Yes, I'm thinking that indirect lighting is worth exploring with materials that don't polish to a high shine and/or have low reflectivity.

Amazing all the way around! not sure which I'm more jealous of- your photography skills or lapidary skills...

you can put my name on the waitlist for the coffee table book!

The rabbit talk reminded me of this story... a few years ago somebody in the neighborhood moved and let their rabbits loose rather than take them with and they multiplied to the point where you'd drive down the alley and see a bunch of them running around...not a big deal until they started eating my yard plants so I declared war but killing was not allowed (my grandnieces would disown me) so I bought live traps and started releasing them in the nearby Costco parking lot which is located in a semi-rural area. My neighbor was doing the same and last summer the 2 of us caught/released 40 or so.Months later I'm at the grocery store chitchatting gardening with the checkout lady and the above story came out...she told me someone from a local rabbit rescue group told her there was a bunch of rabbits running loose in the Costco area and the rescue group was catching them and finding homes for them. We both had a chuckle over the accidental rabbit recycling I've since learned the rabbits had little chance of surviving on their own so in future I'm thinking I'll contact the rescue group...
