So, if the little roller on the end of your tumbler slips and turns itself 45 o. It causes a big mess. If you don't know it's happened, and wait some period of time (say a week) it opens up your tumbler lid like a tin can. Here's another pic of the pieces that used to be my tumbler lid. Glad I had an extra barrel to use, now to order a replacement lid.

Ouch! Turning the tumbler into a metal lathe. That's one way to open a can of beans.

I should name my rock room “aisle 4”.

Taking a second look, and you've probably already noticed, but me thinks that could probably use a second screw/bolt or something to act as a key to keep it from spinning again.

Yes, that thought had occurred to me. Right now I have a clamp on it as a backup but I’ll drill a hole for a 2nd screw soon.

So, it turns out that it was the wheel I put on the end damaging the lid. Basically the plastic wheel eventually wore into the metal, which eventually caught the wheel and turned it sideways. I'm back from vacation, so I've finally ordered some parts to address the issue. This is the longest my tumbler's been silent since I got it!

If your tumbler is quiet now, I bet it wasn't during "the event". Sorry about your luck. I respect that you have already ordered parts and will get back at 'er.

1 of 9 lives. Mend looks easy. Crazy things happen when running 24/7.
