Photo #161 A bit of an oddball piece, the only one like it I've found/tumbled so far. Almost too small for me to pay it any interest. That’s a cool rock. To the snake: anthropomorphic much? Looks like you’re posing for your high school pictures.

Been working on a bunch of these: They don't look like much until they are polished. You folks from Michigan will recognize them. Photo #165 Alternate View: Opposite Side:

Yep! I'll second what Robin said! I saw it on my phone, but wanted to see it on my laptop before commenting. Totally cool picture!

“Now that it smells like snake, what am I supposed to do with it?”

Photo #168 This is a tough one. Might they be eastern Oregon agates?

This is a tough one. Might they be eastern Oregon agates? I couldn't tell you, I think these stones are from three different sellers, one seller does claim Oregon among his many sources...so it is possible.

Photo #169 Another one from the banks of the CT River: same material as the stone in Photo #51.

Photo #171 The stone in the center when I collected it from the riverbank. So, out of curiosity, what prompted you to pick this one up and think it was going to be a nice tumble?

So, out of curiosity, what prompted you to pick this one up and think it was going to be a nice tumble? A lot of quartz/quartzish stones in my area: pretty easy to tumble. Easy to identify because they are usually river rounded, very heavy, and have minimal damage for their size/shape. I have my choice of white, yellow, grey, and pink/red. My gf says that I don't have to pick up ALL the reddish quartz...I live in MA so I have very few stone options for tumbling...so yes...yes I do...

Photo #172 Some local river rocks with interesting patterns. Several rounds of 500 AOx in the vibe to gently even them out before a polish would stick.
