Photo #339Beryl from NH (Tripp Mine) with a Pastel Ball Python (+Het for Gravel or YB). Due to the lattice formation of the stone: trying to create perfectly round specimens results in the stone cleaving again and again into successively smaller pieces. I have created a few perfect tumbled specimens (not shown yet), but, they are created largely by chance. The rough material I started with (from Roughstone Rock) is also so highly inclused with micah that it makes it more challenging than Brazilian Emeralds in a Smokey Quartz matrix. The structure of some pieces of this Beryl also lends itself to linear grooved imperfections in the texture which reduce the sheen of the polish, but, when viewed at a precise angle will create an awesome sparkle (unable to capture with camera).

Been side tracked lately with a lot of different projects. Gotta finish my 2023 photos before my 2024 eggs start to hatch. Photo #342A chunk of Montana agate with a Pastel Mojave/Het Hypo/Het VPI Axanthic Ball python. I think this piece of agate took about 8 months to finish. As we are moving into the 2024 season I am changing up the coin I use for scale in my photos. By chance, I found this in the gravel under the breakwater at Hampton Beach, NH. (before and after cleaning photo) It is about the same size as the snake coin (a bit larger than a quarter). I am going to use it for reference in 2024. First clutch 2024: (it begins again)

What are all the types of snakes you own? I think I told you at one point I own a banana ball python
Also.. this thread doesn’t get the exposure it deserves. I get a lot of people don’t like snakes, but they are beautiful creatures

I get a lot of people don’t like snakes, but they are beautiful creatures Thanks! I don't mind the exposure here. I also post my photos on a ball python forum where I also add updates on my collection. In that forum I should hit 3 million views in a few months. I've kept ball pythons as an exclusive breed of snake for many years now. In the past I had: Corn Snakes, African House Snakes, Milksnakes (Honduran, Pueblan, and True Black), however, I decided it was best to specialize and become a noteable breeder of one species as opposed to an obscure breeder of varied. Of course that is just one factor: Another is that Ball Pythons don't 'smell' as bad as other snakes I've kept. IMHO: 100 ball pythons smell as bad as 5 adult Honduran Milksnakes. Excluding ball pythons: Black Milksnakes (Not to be confused with Black Mexican Kingsnakes) are my favorite breed. If the question is what morphs do I currently have in my collection/breeding program: I wouldn't bother counting the dominant/co-dominant morphs (too many)... Recessives are: Albino, Lavender Albino, VPI Axanthic, Clown, Hypomelanism (ghost + orange ghost), Piebald, and Tri-Stripe.
