You're getting some good advice here. Definitely get some good grit from The Rock Shed. There was a post here a couple years ago from someone who bought a National Geographic tumbler from Amazon. It looks a lot like that tumbler you have. Their problem turned out to b the grit that came with the tumbler. Your grit doesn't specify the size, which is very important. Your polish may actually be more of a prepolish.
If you ever buy another tumbler, a Lortone tumbler is a much better tumbler for not much more money.

Hi everyone! I took your advice and ordered new grit from the rock shed. It just came in today. I’ll be trying a new batch to see how it goes. Wish me luck

Wish me luck I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you! I have to say, I'm a bit lucky to have the Rock Shed so close to where I live. It's about a 35 minute drive from my house...through the Black Hills, not traffic! Wonderful staff!!!
