Sorry, my camera quit, so I scanned these. I cut this drab looking agate this afternoon and it has the most amazing patterns I have ever seen. I know the scanner won't do it justice but I can't wait to cut some cabs! They are so amazing in real lilfe. Trish

Nice stuff Trish, Mexican Crazy Lace? It's amazing how plain it looks on the outside and how beautiful it is inside. That will make great cabs.

wow trish those are nice. can't wait to see the cabs. i'm over here holding my templates to the screen lol like that lady that held up that mirror in the 60's and said "i see tommy, and oh there's susie, betsy, and little johnny......" wearing my homemade romper stompers (coffee cans) and looking into the screen trish.

Rocky: I can see you holding up those templates, Those are amazing rocks! I have a piece of mex lace that I've had tumbling for a very long time, but I'd need to get the grinder to it *whacks head with hand* what the $%/" am I waiting for to do just that!? *man I'm stupid*
Arkie: I love the lace! How big are those pieces? Can't wait to see them finished *rubs forehead where pen hit face*

Trish- Is that from the same stuff you sent US? I cut into a plain one- kinda crumbly on the outside But absolutly Stunning inside (not even sure it's Crazy Lace- Looks more Like Brazilian)

I got it all from the same place. This piece doesn't look like crazy lace to me. It doesn't show in the scan, but looks like it's been painted. It has different colored squares along the bottom and looks like clouds on the top and two of the slabs have sun rises in them. I wish the rock had been bigger. I only got four slabs. I'll use my trim saw to cut the end piece. I don't want to waste any of it! I may try to cut some cabs today. I also cut several slabs from some petrified palmwood that I'm dying to cab. I definitely want to see some of your cabs when you get them done. Trish

Tweety, the slabs are about 2 1/2" by 4 1/2". Kim, I'm doing the same thing. There are so many possibilities, I don't know where to cut. Trish

Looking good Trish. I like that top one, you have that design centered nicely.

Hi Tell, I just had one small rock like this and am already cabbing it all. I do still have the crazy lace, but all the bright colors are gone.
Cuervo, It was just a plain, grey, flat rock, with no pattern or color at all on the outside. I just cut it out of curiosity, and was very pleasantly surprised! All you can do is take water when you're hunting, wet your rock and hope to see some hint of color or pattern on the outside, but sometimes, even that doesn't work. Good luck, Trish
