I know this isn't the music thread, but I thought the lyrics of this song were especially apropos for you...hang in there my friend. Working Man by Larry Fleet (Not Rush's song) Great song, but you should've warned me... maybe not a full-on tear-jerker, but enough to make you get misty, at the very least. Thanks for sharing it.

I just happened to run across this while searching for Rush's song this morning...I had to listen to it a couple times before posting it... I like classic rock very much...but I'm a just a good ole country boy through and through...and always will be. (Some would say use of the word "good" while describing me is open to interpretation! LOL)

LOL) Musically, I am all over the map. The stylistic label is less important than whether it grabs me by the... um, short hairs. Typically, that means stuff that is raw and dirty, not really polished stuff. It has to feel like the musicians themselves are feeling it. My go-to's are metal, classic rock and jam (which usually is a musical mutt), but I also love blues, jazz, bluegrass and punk-ish stuff. For country, I tend mostly toward alt-country like Steve Earle, Drive-by-Truckers and Wilco, but also appreciate the classics like Willie, Dolly and Johnny. As much as people love to break styles down into smaller and smaller genres (check out the Wikipedia listing on sub-genres of heavy metal sometime -- it's quite entertaining), I tend to see where they overlap.

Every time I hear Steve Earle's voice, I immediately think Copperhead Road... I'm all over the musical map with only a few exceptions. I will listen to everything from opera (modern and classic), to bluegrass (Alison Krauss has one of the most amazing voices), to "old school" (Bing Crosby has arguably one of the best male voices of all time...)...and the list could go on and on...

Love that song, but my go-to album is “The Hard Way,” probably because that’s the first one I heard.

Inspired by amygdule ’s post of Rush’s “Working Man,” I am opening this up this contest: Guess how many hours I’ve worked during COVID. We’ll say 01 March to 10 December. Your tag didn't work. My original user name was amygdule64. Then I changed it to amygdule when I started posting. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a way to “see” the tag on my phone, just on my laptop, when I hover the mouse. Is there a way for phones. Anyway, the system made A tag, so I guess there is another amygdule out there who, at this moment, is confused, and doesn’t recall posting a Rush video to the board.

In the meantime, the closest guess is still the same one, and still within 10 hours.

Right, but at amygdule apparently is someone else, unless I also made a typo, which is also possible
