Actually, I have a brand new 80 grit that I might start with (vs starting with 170).

I like starting with a new wheel coarse wheel at least for the first 100 cabs or so. It just eats them up like butter. then it starts to ware and slows down a bit. this is the first 60 I have tried for rough out work normally I use an 80 grit but the 60 grit eats it up. It is amazing to me how just going from and 80 to a 60 is a lot faster.
