That's too cool. I hope you don't have a neighbor that's missing a tire on their SUV.
Can't wait for more picts.

Nicely done, Pho. Is the motor up to running 24/7? Am looking forward to pics of your progress. And every success you have will send another member of this board to their own shop.
Speaking of progress, making any headway on that 300-acre pasture?

Well Pho, ya beat me to it. I've had the tire sitting on the side of my house for close to a year but just been too busy to turn it into a tumbler. Looks like you did a great job on the base, nice and sturdy. Let us know how it works and maybe I'll try to squeeze a little time in to make mine.

That's so great! Last year I was bugging my husband to help me make something similar with some wide ATV tires. He was a bit too busy to really press the issue and I got 2 15 lber's so the idea sort of went away. But now... it's turning in my head again. (He always likes to do things on a big scale or not at all ... Maybe we have an extra tractor tire around. Although I'd rather not go that huge)
Can't wait to see the results.

Will the plywood not get wet with the water & the slurry? Would you have to waterproof the wood? Or does it even get to that level6

Pho- first class- on the backside you have 2 pullies attached with a belt- what is their purpose? (on the non drive side) Very good design- What size motor is it-

That is a 1/3 hp motor. I have a pullie that supplies power to only one bar. As an afterthought, I put pullies on the other side to supply power to both bars. This imporved the turning power for the tire. I figured with both bars turning by power it would be less stain on the motor....meaning the tire was not pulling any dead weight on the free turning bar.

Ahhh So it is a stabilization thing- hmmm very inventive! I feel the need for something that large- I could use the motor from the cabbing unit- hmmmmm and I have a 16.5 inch truck tire and hmmmm
