Very nice - what are the reddish colourful strippy ones and the one in the first picture top right , blueish with lines and bits of yellow

Great Batch Tell... A little something for every taste...That vivid purple marble is very unusual...especially like that baned rock in the first picture just right of center near the top, the white rocks witha circumferential gray band and a cocoa out cropping on one side..Are the brown with some gray banding at the bottom left of the last picture petwood? csroc

What a great sparkle on those. You must have at least one of every known type of rock in there!

Our recipe is:
30/60 grit for at least two weeks. 60/90 for at least two weeks 120 for 2 weeks 500 for 2 weeks 1000 for 2 weeks polish for about 10 days. Polish is a mix of 3 parts Chrome Oxide & 1 part Tin Oxide.
I'm kind of picky and if a stone has the slighest feel of not being ready for the next step, it goes throught he old step again. (and again & angain)
We have discovered that puting things through 1000 grit make a BIG difference on the shine.

What are we going to do? ? Very good question! They are sorted & sit in a box waiting for me to either wire wrap them or drill a hole in them. I have never finished a wire wrapping job. I always start them & them take them apart, cus they look REAL bad. We have books on making jewery, but are not real good at it. So I hope it is a long very cold winter, so we get lots of practice.

Rose the rock in question is Blue Tiger Eye that we "cooked" to make it more red. Gives the blue ones a very different color.

I'm not sure what the purple is. It looks round, but it is really oval. It has a wonderful swirl pattern that does not come out in the photos.
