A few Wraps from the last few days. 1. Laguna Lace Agate - I was worried about this cab as the fortifications were brittle and I was worried it wouldn't hold together. I loved the red tones in this cab. I worked the cab and wrapped it all last night. 2. Flor de Durazno (Flower of Peach) Lace Agate - This was one of my favorite patterns in a cab I've done so far. I wanted to keep the cab face completely clear of wrap, as I think the design is so cool. 3. Picasso Marble - I made six cabs of this today, but only wrapped the one (so far) tonight. The picture kinda of makes the surface look wonky due to the patterns in the stone, but it's not. 4. Pinolith - This was a piece from Tommy and I LOVE this material. I've been on the lookout for some rough, but to no avail yet. (Not that I "need" any more material at the moment! LOL) 5. Gary Green Jasper - Again another piece from Tommy. This was among some of the first cabs I made, and the girdle was pretty narrow. This was before I had any clue what a girdle was actually used for when making a cab. 6. Stone Canyon Brecciated Jasper - I'm positive this is another piece I got from stephan . I tried to leave as much of the face of the cab exposed to show as much of that gorgeous pattern that I could. As always, thanks for taking a gander and critiques and comments are always welcomed. Number 1 Number 2 Number 3 Number 4 Number 5 Number 6

Lovely! You're doing such a great job on these. Now if only you would make some rabbit ear bails. All you'd have to do is not wrap those 2 wires that you use for the bail and then spread them a tad with a pen knife after you're finished.

I should have done some bunny ears on a couple of these! I should do those on some of the next ones I wrap.

Great work on all of those. Nice cabs and it’s good to see you’re making a variety of wraps. If pressed, I’d probably pick #1 as an overall fave. Those fortifications are pretty incredible.

Awesome work, my friend! I like the Laguna the best but the rest are very nice also. It looks like you're trying some new things with your bails...I like them! And the rabbit ear bails will be nothing for someone with your aptitude.

You're killing it Jason! seriously love it Thank you Tommy! That really means a lot! Thank you so much Pat! Great work on all of those. Nice cabs and it’s good to see you’re making a variety of wraps. If pressed, I’d probably pick #1 as an overall fave. Those fortifications are pretty incredible. Thank you very much Stephan! OMG! Isn't that one "to die for"! LOL - When I cut the preform, there was a chip on the top edge, but it was above the girdle line, so I rolled the dice. I was holding my breath the whole time this one was getting ground on the 80 grit... Awesome work, my friend! I like the Laguna the best but the rest are very nice also. It looks like you're trying some new things with your bails...I like them! And the rabbit ear bails will be nothing for someone with your aptitude. Thanks a bunch Mike! You and I both on the Laguna!!! I still need to "push the envelope" with regards to the bail...I know! Thanks Robin! Doh!!! I should have done some bunny ears on a couple of these! I should do those on some of the next ones I wrap. Don’t should on yourself.

Great job on those, Jason!
I like how you took that original wrap design you learned and scaled it back on the Picasso. The scale and placement of the loops looks better suited to the patterns of the stone.
The rest are great, too!

Nailed it. That first one (with many others too) is spot on.

You are a natural at wrapping. All are great wraps, but my fav is #1. Agree on the bunny ears. Thank you very much! That Laguna really is something special, right?! I'm going to try and do some rabbit ears on the next ones. I haven't tried it yet. Great job on those, Jason! I like how you took that original wrap design you learned and scaled it back on the Picasso. The scale and placement of the loops looks better suited to the patterns of the stone. The rest are great, too! Thanks Brian! I really like the loops on my wraps. I know I've overdone it in the past, but thanks for the comment on the Picasso. I have five more Picasso cabs I might wrap today or tomorrow. Some of them really are suited for me to be a bit loopy! Nailed it. That first one (with many others too) is spot on. Thank you so much! I almost did a weaved bail on that one, but I'm glad I didn't...it's kind of all about the stone with that one.

Thank you very much. Still kind of simple for some of the wraps I've seen out there...but I'll get there.

I completely agree...as long as the cab is made well enough to be the center of attention. Some of these cabs need a little bit of attention taken away from them! LOL Way to go Jason!!!! They are all very nice! Thank you Tela! I've been going through a lot of the older wire-wrapping threads. I've seen a lot of the stuff you've done and posted on here. You're definitely an inspiration. The quality and design features of your wraps is something I'm striving to achieve one day! (Not like copying your designs...I'd just like to have the creativity ability and professionalism!)

I made the comment to another member via PM, that while I was perusing the old wire wrapping threads, I see a lot of people who used to post frequently just don't seem to do so much anymore. I'm sorry you're in a slump. It really sucks when life gets a person in a rut...but just know I really do believe your wraps epitomize elegance and are truly some of the most aesthetically pleasing wraps I've seen.
