I promise to take close ups with the camera I got from Stoner just as soon as I get the package from Stefan. Those were two pieces of that Amethyst I got off ebay...remember the OMGTHESHIPPINGISKILLINGME stuff? Just goes to show you CAN make a silk purse from a sow's ear if you have the right tools

LMAO- I was trying to get them to stand up (don't remeber why) and glow in the dark neon pink silly putty was all I had laying around!!!! My daughter then brought me some green then some gold fleck them some yellow- She wanted me to take pix of different rock in the different colored silly putty- Then we tried to take some pix with the lights off and the putty glowing- We kinda got sidetracked on that and I still don't remeber why I put them in the silly putty?

OK, here are my first REAL pictures with my new camera ( thanks Stoner!). Now Stoner said I had no excuses for bad pics anymore, but I plead learning curve! Anywho, here is the ammy Stefan did for me and a surprise cab he snuck in. He also has a female postal worker in Lakewood ready to beat him about the head and face...he sent me enough rocks to start a dang quarry. Between him and Redwood, my postal carrier is NOT happy with me LOL since both boxes arrived the same day. Pics of some of the beautiful stuff they both sent later... ANYWAY...here they are in all their glory...the pictures do not do them justice! So there ya go! Hopefully, I will be able to learn to use this here fancy dancy camera and be able to get some pretty pictures of all the pretty stuff I've received.

They look great! I still have the same problem. Have a very good camera, but still can't take a decent picture! Those are really pretty! Trish

I've recently discovered that the macro part of the camera works well for closeups - I don,t know how Rollingstone & James get close ups from far away - doesn't happen with my camera
