Very cool, Jason! I bought a slab of that a while back and it looked nothing like this one. Might have to try another....

That is wild looking! I need to revisit this one on my computer because I can’t figure out what is going on with those patterns. I see some interesting cabs coming out soon!

Beautiful! I see Dr. Seuss has been there 😁 OMG! I can totally see that! LOL Very cool, Jason! I bought a slab of that a while back and it looked nothing like this one. Might have to try another.... Thanks Mike! I've never seen another one like this at all. It does kinda have that "groovy" feel to it, doesn't it?!? That is wild looking! I need to revisit this one on my computer because I can’t figure out what is going on with those patterns. I see some interesting cabs coming out soon! This is definitely worth a look on the PC. I still don't thing the pictures I took captured the color as vivid as it is in person... And yes, I'm chomping at the bit to get some cabs out of these! Oh the possibilities! Very nice material! I figure I should get two or three decent cabs out if each of the slabs. I really want to capture as much of that green that I can in each if the cabs. That’s incredible! I’m not familiar with that type of agate, have you cut many black skin agates? I've cut one other and I'm posting a pic of what that one looks like. The outside of the one below and the one above were identical...there was NO indication there was any difference between the interiors of the two. If you do a Google search for images of black skin agates, they all look like the one pictured below. None of them have the interior structure the one above has. At first, I thought the green areas were moss, but they almost seem like they're a tubular structure. I'll see if I can get a close-up shot later.

Blackskins from India often look a whole lot like Montana agate. But some have unique appearances, though I've seen patterns similar to this in Montanas. Looks like some fun cutting ahead! Here's one I cut some time back.

When I got these, they came in a mixed lot of various materials. They were only identified as Black Skin Agates. They weren't marked from where though.

Here's some close-ups of the green tubular structures. I just finished up a cab that had the same type of tubular structures that came from a Thunderegg...

That’s a formation that could be described as either moss or tube in my opinion. It reminds me of ochoco moss and a few others where the color can have a white coating like that. I just googled Ochoco Moss Plume Agate, and you're right! That really does have a very similar structure to the tubes/moss! Here's a couple shots of the same type of tubes in that Thunderegg:

I seen this slab 1st hand, wanted to take it home but Jason grew 10 feet and I got scared. It is magnificent piece. I would keep it as is because it is unique.

Awesome blackskin and unusual for the type too. The tubes kind if remind me of some of those found in Horse Canyon Agate too but the agate background is much nicer.

That is incredible looking! I checked out the larger photos on my computer last night and it was definitely worth it seeing it bigger! I can only imagine what it must look like in real life.

It’s not a Fairburn, so anything could be on the chopping block. Quite literally.

There are more slabs off that rock, so I'm sure there are similar pieces he can cab.

I love it, Jason, that's a special rock. It definitely looks different than the blackskin agates I've cut. They can be varied, and I have several different looks in my tumble bowl, but none with these features. I would probably keep the best slab as a specimen (always possible to cab later) and work the others. But...that's just a random guy's opinion.
