tumblee , Welcome from Wisconsin. I have the 33B as well. I check weekly and have water filled containers marked stage 1,2 and 3. I clean and check each tumble and either refill the barrels or put the stones into the containers until I have enough to move on to the next stage. There is good tumbling information on the forum forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/board/34/rock-tumbling-tutorials Going that route also. Pull two barrels and decide which need to get shined, or back to stage 1 with new cuts. Nothing but time..... If they look wet when finished I will be ecstatic! Thanks for the input.

I am stuck on stage one tumble. three weeks out. Am I just being a perfectionist? Rocks are smooth but not what I pictured. Any blemish and in the barrel. Asking too much? Completely smooth stones going to polish... Am I missing something? Thanks all!

I am stuck on stage one tumble. three weeks out. Am I just being a perfectionist? Rocks are smooth but not what I pictured. Any blemish and in the barrel. Asking too much? Completely smooth stones going to polish... Am I missing something? Thanks all! I am finishing a batch today that I started in January. I have had to learn to be very patient with stage one, every week I would pick out a few rocks that were done and add new rocks. When I finally had enough to fill a barrel, I started stage two. I will know later today if my patience is rewarded...Rocket

Three weeks on stage one as pictured. Put water on parts of them for comparison. 95% smooth to touch/fingernail. My main question is should I wait till there are no blemishes like most of these to move to stage 2, or should I jump to the polishing ones. Just put these in two and thinking less than a week till next stage. First batch from three so far. Thanks for all advice! Can't post a pic till I join another site. Will forgo that for now.
