I see I have a couple odd and ends in photobucket. All bird, I do other things than birds really I never was good a capturing the figuring of wood in a photo. Most of the times I'm just happy I remember to take a picture. No dyes or stains used. This is the natural colors of the woods. Most of these pieces have around 4 - 5 different woods used. The large red rooster ? probablly about 8. Oh, the eyes on the Robins and Nuthatch are Onyx beads. My little white rooster that lives in my shop.

The swans body is Birds Eye Maple, with some exceptionally big eyes. The beak is Osage Orange and the eye area is Ziricote.

Those are amazing! You have such a delicate touch with wood. I'm lucky if I can sharpen a pencil. Joe
