So at the suggestion of several members here on RTH I decided to go ahead and wrap this cab that severely undercut...and I actually like it now. Of course I can't remember what the stone is.
Any thoughts and comments are appreciated and thanks for looking.

I don't know what it is but I like it! The wrap is gorgeous with it, too. Perfectly frames that pretty rock.

Gorgeous stone, miket . I see nothing wrong with it. I embrace imperfection regularly. Sometimes even in my cabs. When I found out about the principle of wabi-sabi, I knew it was for me.

Hey... you stole my joke. I think. I dunno. Can't remember. One of these days I'll finish passing that brain stone.

Wabi-sabi is a great concept. Perfection is highly overrated, in my opinion. That one looks great, Mike! Any undercutting is just nature’s way of saying it’s real.

Mike, I think it looks fantastic! I would say if the stone is being held in place, you wouldn't need the additional binding wires on the sides. I think I know where you were talking about putting those... This one has a nice flow to it.

Sorry, I meant to get back to your question sooner...
I think that if your wires are serving all of your needs to hold and decorate your stone then you shouldn't need any more. After you have met your needs, it's entirely up to you if you need or want more for your design. I think you did a very nice job with this.

It was a bit strange wrapping a cab that wasn't perfectly smooth on the top but like I said I actually like it. Thanks for the input and the compliment Tela!

Fantastic! I wouldn't mess with it either, I think it's a winner as-is. Great framing, it looks and feels like everything just fits as it is supposed. Just my $.02.

I'm with the "don't mess with it" crowd. I think it looks great, well balanced and secure.
