OMG...that was funny...and no, it's probably not a good sign if your significant other is telling you to go play with your rocks! (I suppose it depends on how long you've been with her...if it's a "new" relationship, then no, it's not a good sign - However, if you two have been together "forever", then it's just the norm! LOL)
I wish I had some advice for you on the tumble...but I'm relatively inexperienced with tumbling still. However, I do have a UV-18 that I know without that, I'd never have the patience to do all my tumbling in the Model B...

What grit are you using and where is it from? Specifically, what for polish?
Your stage 1 shapes are great - you were def patient - and it's a skill you can't lose tumbling.

Went from 500 to 1200 AO. Boraxed and brought forward with the same media. Going by colors, I would guess the 500 stuck to the pellets. 1200 is white. Boraxed with new pellets before pic. Guessing a charge holding onto 500 grit.? Will post back ~week. Need a vibe...

My understanding of plastic media is that it should never be moved forward between grits. The grit will imbed in the plastic pellets and move forward. This doesn't happen with ceramic pellets. You need separate plastic pellets for each grit.

~2 weeks on polish. Probably better than satin and approaching gloss. Looking for a vibe. Seems Lot-o and UV are suggested from what I have read here. Any input is greatly appreciated!

You need separate plastic pellets for each grit. I'm going to ditch the plastic media. I suppose it is best for softer rocks. Even in polish they get embedded with slurry and turn gray. Not to mention what the ducks would do if I have a mishap.

I can vouch for the Lot-O vibe, it's easy and works great, saves time and uses a lot less grit.
