This cab is from material picked up at Woodward Ranch. This is my brecciated cab for the contest. One aspect I find interesting in this cab is what looks to be a fossilized fish in the bottom left circular structure. It looks like its mouth is open. Ok, here's my entry. Just came out of polish last night so I'm again squeaking under the wire. Freeformed and dremeled Tabu Tabu Jasper, finished in the vibe from a slab I picked up at a rock show a few weeks back. Pretty nice stuff to work...     |

Beautiful cabs by everyone so far! Tommy I was wondering if I would be allowed to change my entry for this month? I cut some rocks last night and found some neat material that is more interesting than my initial entry. No problem if not. |

Thanks Tommy. Ok so here is my official entry for this month. I'm not sure if il have time to get better pics before contest ends tonight so il post these just in case I don't. The material is ohio flint from nethers farm. I didn't expect to find the breccia before I cut it but was pleasantly surprised. However, as I was finishing up on the 220 soft wheel I slipped and gouged the cab smack dab in center of it. So I ended up with a flatter Dome and lost little bit of depth to it. But still liked it better than original entry so here she is. Slab  Dome view-  Full frontal-  Good luck everyone and thanks Tommy for all the work it takes to put these contests on every month! |

Congratulations miket on your first win!  It is a beautiful cabochon and very deserving of winning. The voting was neck and neck for a while and I wasn't sure where it was going to go. It was truly a crowded field of beautiful rocks but oldschoolrocker's Ohio Flint was gorgeous too so congrats again both of you! |
